This game was at 12:30 on thrusday. The girls left wednesday evening, but the rest of the people left the next day. The game started slowly, but then something exciting happened. Brittney tore her ACL on one of her legs. She already had a brace on the other one, because she tore that one last year before the girls went to state. So, this year Brittney got to play a total of 1:23 at state. Then Kim came in for her. We weren't playing very well, so it was pretty even. The game was fast paced for both sides, but neither made many shots. We took the lead when we scored 2 3pointers in a row. Cassidy kept kicking it when they were trying to inbound it, so there were a lot of inbounding plays. At the end of the first quarter the score was 16-6. Hailey didn't do too well, and they scored over her 2 times in a row. We got into bonus with 1:12 left in the first half. At the end of the half the score was 28-17. We played better during the second half, but it was boring to watch, because we were ahead by quite a bit. At the end of the third quarter the score was 43-27. One of the amazing things for this game was that Kristie had only one foul for the first three quarters combined. She had a total of two, which is the lowest that I have ever seen her make. Cassidy had a lot of two pointers at the begining of the game and Kristie had a lot of two pointers at the end of the game. Their JV came in with 2:06 left, and ours tried to come in, but the clock kept going so finally Kerry had to call a time out so they could play a little bit. The final score was 55-36.
Stats:
Cassidy 5=2pointers 1=3pointer 5=freethrows and 1fouls for a total of 18 points
Kellee 2=2pointers 2=3pointers 5=freethrows and 3fouls for a total of 15 points
Kristie 5=2pointers 2=freethrows and 2 fouls for a total of 12 points
Amanda 2=3pointers and 2 fouls for a total of 6 points
Hailey 1=2pointer and 1foul for 2points
Bobbi 1=freethrow and 1foul for one point
Asheli 1 freethrow for one point
Team Totals:
2-pointers=13
3-pointers=5
Freethrows=14
Fouls=11(wow)
We will leave right after school to go to the game against another first ranked Malta. They are really good, so it should be a tough game, especially since Brittney is out for the rest of the year.
